We have the privilege of attending Aspen Ideas Festival 2016, courtesy of Sam being invited to speak. He’ll be doing a Facebook Live Stream event talking about the origins of the “-ness” model of gender, and then doing a talk on Friday about talking about gender — quite meta, we know.
Never heard of the Aspen Ideas Festival? No worries. Here’s how they describe it:
The Aspen Ideas Festival is the nation’s premier, public gathering place for leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines to engage in deep and inquisitive discussion of the ideas and issues that shape our lives and challenge our times.
Pretty groovy, right?
While there, we’ll be taking in as much as we can, learning lessons that can inform our work and art, and connecting with folks who are doing good; and we’ll be signal boosting anyone and everything that we take away from the festival at the end of the week.
Chum (Director of Operations) and sK (Director of Creativity) will be around Aspen all week, so if you’d like to meet up, just email stewards (at) hues (dot) xyz. We’ll have Love Your Story stickers and hues cards to gift you, if you’re a sticker-type of person. And you can always follow along on social media, at Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, where we’ll be trying to post all week.
